Re/Framing Louis Kahn, 2016
- Year 2017
Spatial Video Installation, 37”
Pera Museum
This installation with the aim of forming spatial photographs of Louis Kahn’s buildings is an integrated piece in which the boundaries of the space determines the video’s scale, and the walls and images are intertwined. Space and the audience are not static elements, but mutual actors of the viewing experience. The work thus contains elements that encourage the audience to move in space together with its sound and images. The atmospheric sound editing formed from Kahn’s voice, and the formal relations of the video’s flow and its spatial measurements, underpin this dynamic structure.
